Centennial Celebration and Exhibition Opening

Thursday, 8 October, 6-8:30 p.m.

Join fellow alumni and friends of the school at a celebration and opening of the Centennial Exhibitions on display throughout Knowlton Hall. Explore landscape architecture's past and present at Ohio State. There is no cost to attend and highlights include:

  • Hors d’oeuvres and open bar
  • In the Banvard Gallery: "Landscape By Hand: The First 80 Years of LARCH at Ohio State"
  • Outside the Gallery: Contemporary student work
  • Throughout Knowlton Hall: Grand banners illustrating the 100 year history of the program
  • Self and guided tours of the displays
  • Interactive touch screen display showcasing alumni survey submissions
  • Temporary outdoor garden on Knowlton’s patio
  • Special guests: Former and emeritus faculty including Norm Booth, Deb Georg and Larry Walquist
  • Remarks from Section Head Dorothée Imbert, Director Mike Cadwell, Distinguished Alumni and OCASLA
  • Fun and friends!

Studio Day

Friday, 9 October, 3-5 p.m.

Join fellow alumni for a visit to Knowlton Hall's landscape architecture studios. There is no cost to attend and highlights include:

  • Tour Knowlton Hall and the studio spaces
  • Explore current student projects
  • See how technology is integrated into the studio education
  • Meet students and faculty


Location: Meet in temporary garden on the Knowlton Hall East Patio. Tour leaves promptly at 3 p.m.

Student Appreciation Cookout and Homecoming Parade Watch Party

Friday, 9 October, 5-7 p.m.

Join fellow landscape architecture alumni, faculty and current students at a party in the Knowlton Hall East Patio’s temporary garden – the perfect location to watch the Homecoming Parade and LARCH float. There is no cost to attend and highlights include:

  • Hotdogs, hamburgers and beverages
  • Self and guided tours of the Centennial Exhibition
  • Prime location for viewing the Homecoming Parade (leaves the 'Shoe at 6 p.m.)
  • Cheer on the Centennial float as it rolls down Woodruff Avenue
  • Party on the patio with a live DJ!

Knowlton School Homecoming Reunion

Saturday, 10 October, 9-11:30 a.m.

Enjoy a brunch buffet and beverages with fellow alumni and faculty before the Buckeyes kick off against Maryland at noon. The event will take place at Knowlton Hall on the second floor Ruscilli Terrace, which has a wonderful view of the 'Shoe and Homecoming activities. This event is open to alumni from all sections.
