Dresden Exchange Program Reunion

Plans are underway for a summer reunion for all past participants of the Dresden exchange program between Ohio State and the Technical University of Dresden. The first event will take place in Dresden during the weekend of June 20-22, 2008. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the final presentations of this year’s Dresden class, led by professor Maria Manta Conroy. Weekend plans include tours of the Oldtown, Frauenkirche, Neustadt, and the VW factory, as well as a group dinner. Other options may include a visit to Saxon Switzerland, a boat tour on the Elbe or even a trip to Prague. There will also be time to relax with old friends and enjoy the city.

Past Dresden program participants should contact Hazel Morrow-Jones at morrow-jones.1@osu.edu if they are interested in attending the Dresden reunion.

Dresden students will visit the U.S. from July 14 though July 25. The topic of the 2008 student program is "Urban Resilience:  How do cities react to change?" Plans for a Columbus reunion in July are also being developed.
