Alex Wall, University of Karlsruhe

The KSA lecture series will continue this Wednesday evening as the University of Karlsruhe's Alex Wall will present a lecture titled "The Shopping Center as Urban Innovator: From the American Suburb to the Asian City." The lecture will take place in the Knowlton Hall Auditorium (room 250 Knowlton Hall) and will begin at 5:30 PM.
After Professor Wall's lecture, the series continues on Monday, February 12th as Will Bruder will take a turn at the podium. About Alex Wall
Alex Wall is an architect and Chair of Urban Design in the Institute for Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Karlsruhe.
His most recent publications include: Victor Gruen: From Urban Shop to New City; and with others: Zwischen Stadt Entwerfen: An attempt to define the components and design strategies for European low density urban regions.
In 2004, he was part of the winning team producing a structure and development plan - the “Green Metropolis” - for the tri-national region between Aachen (Germany), Heerlen (Holland) and Beringen (Belgium).
Current research projects include “SHAKTI - Research for the Sustainable Development of the Megacities of Tomorrow” - Hyderabad, India.
