Jane Amidon, Section Head and Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at the The Ohio State University, will present the lecture "Big Nature" as part of the KSA Lecture Series.

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 5:30 PM in the Knowlton Hall Auditorium.

Jane Amidon joined the landscape architecture faculty in 2003. Prior to her faculty appointment, she served as a both a visiting lecturer and the Richard W. Trott Visiting Professor in landscape architecture at Ohio State. Her teaching responsibilities have included design studios, contemporary history and theory in landscape architecture, graduate seminars and planting design at the Knowlton School of Architecture. Additionally, she publishes the school's "Source Books in Landscape Architecture" series. To date, the series has featured the work of Grant Jones, Peter Walker, Ken Smith and Michael Van Valkenburgh. Amidon received the College of Engineering's Charles E. MacQuigg Award for outstanding teaching as well as the India Boyer Faculty Prize for outstanding teaching, research and practice by a faculty member in the Knowlton School of Architecture. Jane Amidon was recently named as head of the landscape architecture section.
