Student Project: Jacob Boswell

Jacob was participated in three major projects in 2004: First project was for the Neighborhood Improvement District at the request of the Housing Services division of the Department of Development. His major tasks were creating maps in GIS and performing statistical analysis with census data. Second, he rewrote the Department of Development Hand-book for Area Commissioners. This brief text outlines the duties of the area commissions, and provides an introduction to the working of processes at the city such as the capital improvements budget process, re-zoning, and variance requests. And third, he also completed and submitted the preliminary nomination of Evergreen Cemetery as a historic landmark, in conjunction with Evergreen Cemetery association owner Thor Triplett and Jimmy Moreland, North Central Area Commission President.
