"Constructed of 8,000 mini origami star boxes, this "curtain wall" creates several elegant effects. Whether it is by the height or angle of sunlight streaming through the curtain, or by the repetition of modules, Struct-pure is: pure form (white paper) and structure (ribs). This project challenges traditional notions of "structure"; the origami shapes are connected by tightly glued flaps, which are the ribs of the blanket. The resulting rib frame allows the form to expand or "billow out" in places, creating concave and convex shapes."
