747: Managing the Urban Spatial Environment: Metropolitan Region U G 3
The metropolitan region is the scale that most people live their life; daily ?community? is a collection of cities, suburbs, villages, townships and counties; the metropolitan region is also the key economic unit in age of the global economy, but limited tools are avialable to manage the complexity of the multi-jurisdictional nature of regions. This application-based course will explore the underlying issues and the few legal?and many ad hoc?approaches to managing growth-related challenges of the metropolitan region.
