About the Exhibit
Knowlton Hall's Banvard Gallery and Center Space will each host a portion of the exhibition FIELD TESTING from Wednesday, February 8 through Friday, March 3. The exhibition will open with a reception following the Baumer Lecture by landscape architect Shane Coen.
The Landscape Architecture section has produced this exhibition in response to the LAAB Accreditation Team visit February 12-16, with the added goal of sharing the work produced by its students with a larger audience. The work on display demonstrates the creative potential and technical abilities of undergraduate and graduate students in landscape architecture.
The exhibit in the Center Space is a collection of models and graphic work from design studios over recent years. This portion of the exhibition will be open to the public through February 20.
The exhibit in the Banvard Gallery is titled FIELD TECHNOLOGIES and gives an overview of the technically-oriented work produced across the curriculum. These works demonstrate grading skills, plant knowledge and construction technologies. The Landscape Architecture section, in keeping with its preference for hand-crafted documents, has dedicated one wall to graphite drawings. This portion of the exhibition will be closed to the public during the LAAB Accreditation Team's visit.
