All Knowlton students are invited to meet with 2024 DeeDee and Herb Glimcher Lecturer Ahmed Belkhodja of Fala Atelier during a special coffee reception.
Ahmed Belkhodja founded Fala along with fellow architects Filipe Magalhães and Ana Luisa Soares when they were all just 25 years old. The practice has expanded over the last decade and now includes a fourth partner, Lera Samovich, along with architects Celeste Assal, Ana Lima, João Carlos Lopes, Eduardo Loureiro, Joana Sendas, and Catarina Vilarinho.
Fala focuses on residential design and has created most of their built work in Porto, Portugal, while also taking part in international exhibitions and competitions, lecturing, and teaching. Their work has been featured in such publications as Architectural Review and Domus, which named Fala one the world’s 50 best architecture firms in 2020.
