Knowlton School Alumni Profiles is a series that features interviews of school alumni conducted by students who are members of the Knowlton Ambassador Program. Thanks to the generosity of Coca-Cola, the Ohio State University Office of Student Life is proud to offer Cola-Cola Student Sustainability Grants for student-led initiatives that support The Ohio State University's goal to reduce greenhouse gases, conserve resources, and promote sustainability. In addition, the university’s Office of Energy and Environment has created scholarships, research grants and travel funding to help students who are studying or researching topics in sustainability, energy and environment.

Review highlights of the 2013-2014 academic year in the latest Knowlton School Year in Review publication. The 80-page booklet takes a look back at events, stories and achievements from the past year, with particular focus placed on exceptional experiences, teaching, faculty and student achievement, new technology, outreach efforts and alumni engagement. The publication also introduces the Knowlton School Capital Campaign and includes a comprehensive listing of all Knowlton School donors.

Knowlton landscape architecture alumni Ian Mackay (MLA ’14) and David Shimmel (MLA ’13), and Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture Jacob Boswell’s collaborative submission to the 2014 Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) was shortlisted for the competition’s final prize. The shortlist honor means that Mackay, Shimmel and Boswell’s entry was selected as one of the top 25 out of more than 300 international submissions. The Knowlton team’s entry, SUNBATH, will be included in the book New Energies, to be published in October, and will be featured in an exhibition opening October 3 at the Danish Design Center in Copenhagen.
