Internship Leads MCRP Alumnus to Reynoldsburg Planning Administrator Position

City and Regional Planning alumnus Eric Snowden (MCRP ‘ 11) has been named Reynoldsburg, Ohio’s new planning administrator based on his previous experiences as an intern in the city’s development department, an experience made possible by the section’s MCRP Internship Program. In the program, MCRP students work with citizens and community groups, conduct analyses, write reports, create maps, prepare presentations and many other activities. Snowden was sought out for the position by Reynoldsburg Mayor Brad McCloud specifically because of his internship under the guidance of former Reynoldsburg Development Director Lucas Haire from December 2010 to June 2011.

Snowden has worked as a legislative assistant for the Columbus City Council since February 2012. In this new position, he will be responsible for all zoning issues in the city and will work closely with the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals and the Reynoldsburg Planning Commission.
