The Knowlton School Remembers Waneita Dipner

The Knowlton School is saddened to announce the passing of Waneita Dipner. A longtime resident of Worthington, Ohio, Waneita was married for 67 years to former Knowlton School architecture faculty member Wayne Dipner, who passed away in 2014. In 2016, a gift from Waneita created The Wayne and Waneita Dipner Family Endowed Fund, which provides need-based scholarships to architecture students at the Knowlton School. The first two students supported by this new scholarship, Derek Luth and Spencer Huggins, both graduated from the architecture program cum laude in Spring 2017.

Waneita and Wayne Dipner are survived by their two children, granddaughters, their spouses, and six great grandchildren. Their son Randy is an Ohio State alumnus, having graduated in 1972 with a dual degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and Computer and Information Science.
