Description:

Three programmatic elements which contain theaters and exhibition spaces intersect each other as complete volumetric prisms. The small theater intersects the large theater from the side; their overlap provides seating for additional audience members. Where the large theater intersects a stack of gallery spaces, the wall conditions are changed to encourage unique exhibitions. A series of curved and winding ramps carve through the programmatic volumes and open views for the public to catch glimpses of performances. Under the building, the ground is carved into a theater for the general public to enjoy. The Dance and Performing Arts Center allows people to see performances without having purchased a ticket, simply by walking through the space.
