Dorothée Imbert Participates in Living Traditions 2024 Panel

Knowlton School Director Dorothée Imbert will join the Japan Institute of Portland Japanese Garden’s Living Traditions series for the panel “A Conversation on Art, Architecture, and Landscape.” Living Traditions is a series of conversations that explore iconic facets of Japanese culture.

Other presenters include Yuki Hasegawa, Director of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art and Shohei Shigematsu, OMA partner and Director of OMA New York. The discussion will be moderated by Ken Oshima, Professor of Architectural History, University of Washington.

“A Conversation on Art, Architecture, and Landscape” will explore the future of urban environments and the evolving roles of creative institutions to inspire civic discourse. Keynote speaker Yuko Hasegawa, Japan’s foremost contemporary art curator, will expound on her vision for integrating environmental awareness and ecology into exhibitions and innovative public programming.
