Jungyoon Kim + Yoonjin Park / Park Kim

Gui Auditorium / Knowlton Hall
May 11, 2011 - 1:30pm
Yoonjin Park and Jungyoon Kim received their Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. After working in Boston (Sasaki Associates and Child Associates), and Rotterdam (West8), Park and Kim founded PARKKIM in 2004 upon winning the Chichi Earthquake Memorial International Competition.

Park was invited for '4th Montreal Biennale (2004)', 'Tokyo Canal Workshop (2004)', 'Asian Alterity Workshop in Singapore (2007)' and '7-11 city workshop (2007)' and wrote 'Three Agencies of Trans-disciplinary Landscape Architecture (2005, Korean Journal of Landscape Architecture)' and 'Gangnam Alternative Nature (2007, ed. William Lim)'.  Kim was selected as the 'Design Leader of Next Generation (6th)' awarded by the Korean Ministry of Commerce and KIDP in 2007. She has been teaching at Seoul National University since 2006, while writing several articles and essays for journals and magazines including article presentation at CELA (2006, Vancouver).  In all endeavors, Yoonjin Park and Jungyoon Kim grapple with cultural identity, civic ecologies, the public-ness of space, and the concerns of memory.

All lectures are free and open to the public.
Unless noted, all lectures will be held at the Knowlton Hall Auditorium (KN 250) at 5:30 PM.
