Artisterium, the third annual international art exhibition in Tbilisi, is composed of international art exhibitions, individual art and curatorial projects, conferences, and educational and cultural programs. Sarah Cowles and several artists from the United States travelled to Tbilisi and exhibited work in the historic Karvasla, or caravan hall.

“The Salt Mountain Disturbance” consists of a series of models and drawings that depict the idiosyncratic ecology of a former railyard  and road salt stockpile in Columbus Ohio. The models illustrate proposed changes and disturbances in the landscape of the railyard over a period of 30 years. Cowles will return to Georgia in the summer to work as an artist-in-residence at Art Villa Garikula.
