KSA Alumnus Eddie George Returns to Ohio Stadium Saturday

KSA alumnus Eddie George, the Heisman Trophy-winning tailback who holds the single season and single game rushing records for Ohio State and ranks second only to Archie Griffin in career yards, will be honored at halftime of Ohio State’s Oct. 28 Homecoming game against Wisconsin. The Ohio State University Department of Athletics will recognize George for his pending induction into the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame in December, and his official enshrinement this summer in South Bend, Indiana.

George, who received an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from the Knowlton School of Architecture  in 2001, and an MBA in 2009 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, is a founding partner and Vice President of Marketing at EDGE, a planning, landscape architecture, and graphic design firm with offices in Columbus, Toledo, and Nashville, TN.

In 2008, George was named a Distinguished Alumni by the OSU College of Engineering, an award that recognizes exceptional achievement in a particular field.

EDGE Principal Jim Hiss (’72, ’75) recently said of George:

“We have known Eddie as a student, athlete, business partner, colleague and friend. His values, experience and belief regarding “TEAM” played a key role in the development of The EDGE Group in 2003. Our core values and mission were born out of Eddie’s personal goal to create a stronger America by transforming lives and developing sustainable communities—a vision he calls HEALTHY PEOPLE | HEALTHY PLACES.”
