2012 ULI/Gerald Hines Student Design Competition

This year's prestigious ULI/Gerald Hines Student Design Competition will feature four OSU teams representing the KSA's three sections, as well as the Fisher College of Business. Over 150 teams  will take part in the competition, with entries from more than 60 American and Canadian colleges and universities. From the Competition website:

"The ULI/Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition, now in its tenth year, is an urban design and development challenge for graduate students. The Hines Competition challenges multidisciplinary student teams to devise a comprehensive development program for a real, large-scale site. Student teams comprising at least three disciplines have two weeks to develop solutions that include drawings, site plans, tables, and market-feasible financial data"

The winning team will receive $50,000, with the three other finalist teams each receiving $10,000. In addition, the OSU entries will be competing for scholarships and awards sponsored by the ULI Columbus District Council.

The event will include short presentations by each of the OSU teams, as well as a talk by Yaromir Steiner, Founder and CEO of Steiner + Associates. It will conclude with the naming of the four finalist teams which will compete in the Competitions's final stage.

The 2012 ULI/Gerald Hines Student Design Competition will be held in the Ohio Union, from 5-7PM on Wednesday, February 8. The event is free.
