Georgeen Theodore / Interboro Partners

February 15, 2012 - 5:30pm

Georgeen Theodore is a Principal at Interboro Partners, a New York City-based office of architects, urban designers, and planners who work together to improve the urban environment with innovative, experimental design ideas. At the heart of Interboro's philosophy is the idea that architecture's ability to act is tied to its own ability to recognize those that act on it. Interboro’s projects thus represent an ever-expanding concept of what architecture is, of how it acts on the world, but also how it is acted upon by individuals, institutions, ideas, idealizations, and objects.

Theodore is a registered architect and urban designer. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University and a Master of Architecture degree in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Theodore is an associate professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s School of Architecture, and the Director of the Infrastructure Planning Program.
