Situating Food Symposium Keynote

Mosé Ricci will present a public lecture in Knowlton Hall’s Gui Auditorium at 5:30PM on Friday, November 8. The lecture is the Opening Keynote Address in the Situating Food Symposium being hosted by the Knowlton School on November 8-9, 2013. A reception will follow the lecture. The lecture is free and open to the public. However, individuals wishing to attend the Sustainable Food Symposium must register (also free; follow the link on the Symposium website).

Ricci – Emeritus of Italian Art and Culture since 2003- is Full Professor of Urbanism at the University of Genoa. He graduated in architecture (1982) at La Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). He has been Researcher Professor (1984), Associate (1997) and Full Professor (2001) at the  University of Chieti-Pescara (Italy), Fulbright Visiting Scholar at GSD (Harvard University, USA,  1996-1997), Visiting Professor of Sustainable Urbanism at Uni-Moderna Lisboa (2006-2007) and at TU Munich (2008-2009). His research focuses on the interactions among architecture, urbanism and landscape design in ecological frameworks. He has a record of lectures and participation at international conferences and symposia.

Ricci's projects with RicciSpaini have won prizes in several international competitions and have been exhibited at the Biennale of Venice (1996-012). Ricci is Editor of the BABEL series of books (2000-013 List Publishers), and has authored several titles, including New Paradigms (List, 2012), UniverCity (List 2010), iSpace (Meltemi, 2008), RISCHIOPAESAGGIO (Meltemi, 2003).
