CRPLAN 852: Area and Neighborhood Planning Studio
Term:
Spring 2012
Description:

While many cities undertake the process of preparing comprehensive plans, the details of planning and their implication for directing change occurs at a much more local stage at the neighborhood level. In Columbus, the city directs land use, urban design and development issues through its area and neighborhood planning program. These planning efforts also offer the opportunity to jointly address land use and development issues across jurisdictional boundaries, which can benefit different communities.

The class undertakes neighborhood planning under the auspices of the city’s neighborhood planning program, working with the Guide to Area and Neighborhood Planning approach.
