Jennifer Evans-Cowley, PhD,
AICP is an Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning
and Planning Education at a Distance Program Director at Ohio State
University. Evans-Cowley has worked as both a planner and a real
estate researcher before becoming a faculty member. She has five
years experience teaching courses in administration, zoning, infrastructure,
and theory. She writes extensively about planning practice and real
estate development issues. Current research topics include Impact
Fees, McMansions, Big Box Retail, Telecom Hotels, E-government,
and Housing Valuation. Her publications have appeared in Urban Land,
Planning Advisory Service, Journal of the American Planning Association,
Journal of Planning Literature, Growth and Change, Journal of the
Real Estate Center, Journal of E-government, Journal of Urban Technology
and Journal of Civic Comittment. Evans-Cowley holds a Bachelor's
degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University, a Master's
in Urban Planning from Texas A&M University, a Master's in Public
Administration from the University of North Texas, and a PhD in
Urban and Regional Science from Texas A&M University. To learn

Jackie Graham is an Adjunct Lecturer of City and
Regional Planning at Ohio State University. Graham worked for 15
years for the Burger King Corporation and was responsible for all
real estate acquisition and management. After leaving Burger King
she began working in low-income housing development for a community
development corporation and with the Ohio Housing Finance Corporation.
Graham holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University
of South Florida, an MBA from Northwestern University, and a Master's
in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University.
Jack Nasar, PhD, AICP is a Professor of City and
Regional Planning and Facilities Planning and Management Program
Coordinator at Ohio State University. Nasar teaches classes in urban
design, building evaluation and programming, research methods, and
neighborhood planning. Nasar conducts research on design review,
zoning, environmental psychology, and architecture. Nasar is the
author of several books including Design by Competition, The Evaluative
Image of the City, Environmental Aestheics, and Directions in Person-Environment
Research and Practice. Nasar serves as the editor of the Journal
of Planning Literature. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture
from Washington University, a Master's in Urban Planning from New
York University, and a PhD in Man Environment Relations from Pennsylvania
