| This course, prepared in cooperation
between the Ohio Planning Conference and the City and Regional
Planning program at Ohio State University, was created to aid
members of the American Planning Association to prepare for
the entrance exam to the American Institute of Certified Planners.
It also provides an excellent review of the field of planning.
We encourage you to enroll in the on-line version of the AICP
Exam Review Course. The on-line version provides a greater depth
of information and practice exams.
The course material is intended to provide academic knowledge
which can then be applied to questions on the exam rather than
specific answers for certain questions.
This course is conducted as a part of the professional development
activities of the Ohio Planning Conference.
The Instructors: The instructors are all associated
with City and Regional Planning Program at The Ohio State University.
Time: Register now and receive access through
the current exam period. Participants can register at any time
prior to the exam. If you do not take the exam in the current
exam period or fail the exam you may extend access through the
following exam period.
Course Setup: The course covers every aspect
of the AICP exam. Participants will have access to audio/video
lectures by planning faculty, links to outside resources, practice
exams, and reading materials on planning for each subject area.

Subdivision Regulations by Professor Steve Gordon, AICP
Planning Law by Professor Kenneth Pearlman, JD
Test Taking Techniques by a Panel of Planners that have recently
passed the AICP Exam
Planning Ethics by Professor Jennifer Evans-Cowley, AICP
Planning History by Professor Maria Manta Conroy
Budgeting/Management by Professor Dale Bertsch, FAICP
Planning Theory by Professor Jennifer Evans-Cowley, AICP
Statistics by Professor Hazel Morrow-Jones
In addition, a discussion board is available for participants
to ask questions. These questions will be responded to by members
of the faculty and other participants in the course.
A seven full-length practice examinations are available for
participants to take. The exams are timed and allow participants
to instantly see their results
The course is web-based, allowing participants to register
at anytime and to move through the material at their own pace.
The course is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, (except
for system maintenence which occurs on Sundays between Midnight
and 3 am EST).

Fees: $60 for members of the Ohio Planning
Conference. $95 for non-members. You will be able to register
online and pay by credit card, check, or PO Number. Checks should
be made payable to Ohio State University.
Members of the Ohio Planning Conference will also receive a
copy of the Chapter Presidents Council AICP Review Manual in
the mail.
