On-line Graduate Certificate
in Facilities Planning and Management
This program is designed for the professional
currently working or interested in working in planning, real estate,
and facilities management. As a professional you need to understand
project management, real estate, communication, planning and design,
and business. No matter where you live you can increase your knowledge
and skills through On-line Graduate Certificate in Facilities Planning
and Management taken over the Internet. From your home or office
computer, you can complete four courses over the course of one-year
to complete the certificate program. The courses include hand-on
experience that includes case studies, team work, and in-depth projects.

Starting Date:
The next program starts in January, 2008. It may be possible to
start in a different quarter. Please consult with the Program Coordinator.
City Planning Administration, Winter (January - April): 4 Credit

Programming Environments for Urban Use, Spring (April - June):

Real Estate Finance for Planners, Summer (June - August): 3 Credit

Practicum, Fall (September - December): 5 Credit Hours
The courses are offered completely on-line. You can complete the
course requirements at the times and places most convenient to you
during each week of the course.
The certificate is worth a total of 15 graduate credits.
Those who wish to take individual courses only are welcome to apply
on a space-available basis. Participants may also complete individual
courses and then apply them towards the Certificate Program.
All of the instructors in this certificate program are members
of the faculty at The Ohio State University.
Who Should Apply?
If you are working of interested in working in the field of planning,
real estate, or facilities management you should apply for this
program. Space is limited, so submit you application as early as
possible.
Admission
This is a graduate level certificate and requires a bachelor's
degree. There are no prerequisite courses and any bachelor's degree
is eligible for admission.

All of the graduate courses are eligible for transfer into a graduate
degree program at any university, check with your university to
obtain permission to transfer credit. Up to 10 credit hours taken
as part of this certificate program may be transferred into the
Master's in City and Regional Planning program at Ohio State University,
upon admission to the Master's program.
To apply for the Graduate Certificate program, you must complete
an application and provide proof of the highest degree received.
Tuition
Tuition may be paid on a per course basis ($1,200) or in-full for
the entire certificate ($4,400). Regardless of where you are located
the tuition price is fixed at one rate. Payment must be in the form
of a check made payable to the Ohio State University and is due
one month in advance of the start of each quarter.
