Jason Kentner is an associate professor of practice in landscape architecture at the Knowlton School, and a partner at IMPLEMENT, a design and research partnership focusing on issues of landscape, architecture and urbanism. He is a practitioner and educator whose teaching, design and research focus on issues of landscape architecture related to site design, urbanism, and urban ecology. Prior to joining the Knowlton School in 2006, Kentner taught and lectured at the University of Texas at Austin and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His current research pursuits focus on the capacity of landscape and architecture as operational systems at the scale of infrastructure.
Kentner edited Volumes 6 and 7 of the Knowlton School’s Source Books in Landscape Architecture series: Tom Leader Studio Three Projects and Stoss Landscape Urbanism. He received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University, and MLA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
