Benjamin Wilke is an instructor at the Knowlton School of Architecture where he teaches design studios at the first- and second-year levels. He has a Master of Architecture degree from Ohio State University, a Master of Architectural Studies in Criticism degree from Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Ohio University.
Taught studios focus on developing a clarity of ideas and the ability to communicate with a cultural sensitivity that extends beyond architecture and design. Students are asked to consider ways in which verbal, graphic, physical, and written presentation of ideas impact the reception of those ideas and might inform future inquiries. Critical to the success of these studios is the ability of students to understand cultural relations and their potential to affect or be affected by the work produced.
