Description:

THE BASIS FOR THIS PROJECT STEMS FROM THE TRANSFORMATION AND DISTORTION OF A SIMPLE GRID.  FOCUSING ON WHAT HAPPENS WITHIN THE NEGATIVE SPACE THAT BEGINS TO DIVIDE AND ORGANIZE BASIC FORM.  PUSHING, PULLING, STRETCHING AND MANIPULATING OF THIS GRID, GAVE RISE TO THE PARTI.  A BASIC SYSTEM OF LONG ORTHOGONAL BARS SEPARATE PROGRAM AND BIND TOGETHER SPACE--WHILE SHORT BURSTS OF CIRCULATION DEFINE MOVEMENTS ACROSS THE MAIN AXIAL SYSTEM.  IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE A NEW SPACE OR DIFERENCE IN PROGRAM, ONE MUST TRAVEL AGAINST THE GRAIN OF THE MAIN ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEM.  FURTHERMORE, OCCUPIABLE ROOFS CONTINUE TO CONVEY THE PARTI, AS WELL AS, LOCK THE BUILDING INTO THE SITE.  THEY ESTABLISH A NEW AND SYNTHETIC LANDSCAPE LINKING THE BUILDING TO THE ROLLING HILLS OF THE SUROUNDING AREA.
