Academic advisors are professional staff members who are trained to help undergraduate students navigate the complexities of the University, the academic curriculum in your major, and serve as a resource for you during your time as a student. You can expect your advisor to provide accurate, helpful information in regard to degree planning and curriculum requirements, refer you to appropriate University resources when necessary, and help you understand your role and responsibilities as an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University. You should plan to meet with you advisor regularly in order to review your progress, share any concerns, and to be sure you are staying on track. Additionally, two part-time graduate student advisors work closely with all pre-majors and are also available for appointments.
