2019 Planning Internship and Career Connections Fair

Join us at the Planning Internship and Career Connections Fair on Friday, October 25 from 2-4 p.m. in the Knowlton Hall Center Space. This event is ideal for employers in the planning industry and closely-related areas looking to fill internship, part-time and full-time opportunities. The event is also a great way to spread the word about your agency, company or organization to highly-engaged students in the City and Regional Planning program and students in related majors.

Employer Registration

Employer registration for this event takes place through Handshake. This is the system utilized by Knowlton School Career Services and Ohio State to manage job postings and career fair registrations. If your organization is new to Handshake, view this step-by-step guide to registering for a career fair. Once your Handshake account is established, your organization will also be able to post future employment opportunities to specific audiences of students and recent alumni.

Registration includes:

  • 6' table and chairs
  • Table linen upon request
  • Up to two parking vouchers per organization

Registration Fee

There is no fee to attend this event but advance registration is required. Registration is available through Friday, October 18.

Event Timeline

  • 1:30 p.m. - Employer arrival and set-up
  • 2:00-4:00 p.m. - Event open to students and recent alumni
  • 4:00-4:30 p.m. - Tear down

Student Audience

  • Undergraduate and graduate city and regional planning students
  • Students in related majors


PLEASE NOTE: If your primary need is to hire architecture or landscape architecture students for positions in professional firms, the Knowlton School Career Fair is the event for you. This event will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Registration will be available in early November 2019 on Handshake.

Student Registration

Student registration is available via Handshake. Event day check-in will start at 1:30 p.m. outside the Banvard Gallery. The event opens to students at 2:00 p.m. All employers will set up in the Center Space of Knowlton Hall.
