The Banvard Gallery will host the The City Remembers. exhibition from Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 29, 2019. A public reception will take place on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. following the Baumer lecture by Rachel Weber. The lecture and gallery show are presented in association with the the City and Regional Planning section's 60th anniversary symposium “Are we moving toward Smart, Inclusive, and Sustainable Cities?” taking place March 27-29.

Abstract

The City Remembers. is an exposition of The Ohio State Univerity City and Regional Planning program’s academic milieu and its subsequent imprinting upon urban form over the course of technological change.  It is a participatory exhibit whereby spectators are encouraged to inhabit the exhibit and engage in iterative processing displays, creating artifacts from their experiences in the space.

About the Gallery

The Banvard Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Gallery is located on the first floor of Knowlton Hall on the campus of The Ohio State University.
