Tom Leader Studio
March 25, 2008 - 8:00pm to April 22, 2008 - 8:00pm

Tom Leader, a well-known landscape architect, will be featured this month at the Knowlton School of Architecture. An exhibit, Compost, and a lecture by Leader coincide with National Landscape Architecture month. Leader is the 2008 Glimcher Visiting Professor at the Ohio State University.

In March 2001, Leader established Tom Leader Studio, a collaborative environment for the practice of landscape architecture based in Berkeley, California. Leader's work tends to have a sense of unpredictability and humor; Compost is no exception.

In Compost, everyday air packing pillows provide buoyancy to a lifetime's worth of garbage, representing layers of sediment packed with care before heading off to the landfill. Compost is on display in the Banvard Gallery at Knowlton Hall though Wednesday, April 23.

Additionally, Tom Leader will speak on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 7 p.m. as part of the KSA Lecture Series. The lecture will take place in the Knowlton Hall Auditorium. A closing reception will follow the lecture.
