In 2016, Bava led the winning team for the renewal of Pershing Square, and has opened the first American office of Agence Ter, in Downtown Los Angeles.

In parallel with his practice of landscape architecture, Bava taught for ten years at ENSP Versailles and, since 1998, he has been the chairman of the Landscape Architecture Department at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (K.I.T.) in Germany.  More recently, he has been invited several times as a guest professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
