Henri Bava will lecture Knowlton Hall’s Gui Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28. The talk is free and open to the public. In 1986, Bava founded Agence Ter in Paris with his partners Michel Hössler and Olivier Philippe.

Born in Tunisia and raised between Tunisia and Paris, Henri Bava is a landscape architect who studied plant biology at the University of Paris-Orsay, scenography at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris and landscape architecture at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage, (ENSP) Versailles. In 2000, Agence Ter opened a German office in Karlsruhe; in 2014, following the winning of the competition for Barcelona’s “Plaza Glories Catalanes”, a Spanish office was set up. In 2016, Bava led the winning team for the renewal of Pershing Square, and has opened the first American office of Agence Ter, in Downtown Los Angeles.

In parallel with his practice of landscape architecture, Bava taught for ten years at ENSP Versailles and, since 1998, he has been the chairman of the Landscape Architecture Department at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (K.I.T.) in Germany.  More recently, he has been invited several times as a guest professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
