The book includes in-depth conversations with Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee about their work, the development and origins of Johnston Marklee, and how creative practices adapt to the stresses of the discipline while continuing to grow new awareness.
As guest presenters for the Herbert Baumer Memorial Seminars in 2019, Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee engaged with students at the Knowlton School in conversations that ranged from developing a critical practice to idea formation during projects to the pragmatics of working in architecture today.
