KSA City and Regional Planning student Lanzi Li has received an Outstanding Senior Award by the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service at the Ohio Union. Li was one of 20 OSU students recognized.

The Possible Mediums Conference, which took place at The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, February 7- 10, 2013, brought together 18 designers, and120 students from the event’s four co-host schools: The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, the University of Illinois at Chicago’s School of Architecture, University of Michigan’’s Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, and University of Kentucky’s College of Design.

The KSA’s Second Annual Fashion Schau, hosted in Knowlton Hall’s Center Space on Friday, March 22, was a great success! Approximately 150 people attended the event, organized by KSA student organization, SERVitecture.

KSA Master of City and Regional Planning student Alex Smith has received The Ohio State University’s 2013 Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student award. And student organization Bike OSU, of which Smith is currently president, also won the University’s 2013 Outstanding Student Group Programming Award in the Innovation Category for its Mobile Bike Clinic.

KSA students Josh Channels, Eric Junker, and Kyle Carpenter were awarded first place, and a $2,000 prize, in the first AIA Ohio Schools Competition Charrette for their entry Pellucid Pavilion.

Fifty high school juniors and their parents recently attended the Knowlton School’s “Build Your Dreams” session as part of Ohio State’s STEM Day. The day-long event showcased Ohio State majors and disciplines related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Follow the history of KSA student publication One:Twelve, from the publication of its initial issue in the fall of 2011, to its inclusion in ARCHIZINES, an exhibit of 80 independent architecture publications from more than 20 countries; an exhibit whose world tour eventually included Knowlton Hall's own Banvard Gallery.

Late last year, Ohio State received nearly $10 million in US Department of State grant support to implement and administer for three years the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program in East Asia, which offers intensive summer language institutes in thirteen critical foreign languages. KSA Landscape Architecture student Blythe Worstell has become one of the first recipients of a CLS scholarship.
