The Knowlton School of Architecture is pleased to announce the winners of the Dean’s Design Competition hosted at the School on May 10-11, 2012. Twenty-one student teams entered the competition, out of which one winning team ($500 prize), two honorable mention ($250 prizes), and one special commendation teams were selected.

Professor Robert Livesey has been inducted as one of three honorary members of class 106 of SPHINX Senior Class Honorary, a student organization in existence since 1907 that, each year, “links” 24 new OSU students from across campus into a community meant to honor individuals who exhibit exceptional character and potential for accomplishment.

Assistant Professor Kristy Balliet's undergraduate architecture design studio traveled to Chicago in mid-April for a three day study trip to explore Monumental Mid-Rises and their magnificent interior volumes.

Second year MLA student Brett Kordenbrock has been named a 2012 University Olmsted Scholar in the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Olmsted Scholars Program.

Three KSA alumni have been named among the "100 Buckeyes You Should Know" by The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Ken Wiseman (BSArch '76, MArch '78), George Acock (BSArch '63) and Jim Sweeney (MCRP '96) were recently recognized by the Association for their personal and professional contributions to practice and society after leaving Ohio State.

The idea of the Sustainable Futures for Linden Village initiative is to provide recommendations and generate visions on how to make the area more livable and how to create healthy neighborhoods. But the project leaders knew that in order to make a real impact, they would need significant input from residents.
