Knowlton School Statement on COVID-19

Dear All,

We have entered a unique time for our community. Quite simply, we are now safest when we are dispersed. Safety is our first priority: for students, faculty, staff and our extended families. In recognition of this new condition, Knowlton Hall is closed. Everyone must work at home and on-line. No one should return to campus. Again, the best way to continue to work as a community is by staying apart.

Staff will secure valuable items in studios such as tools and printers. The building is locked down so models, drawings, and materials will be safe and secure until students return.

Leadership, faculty, and staff are developing strategies to complete coursework, particularly that for design studios. Expectations will accommodate the minimal digital capabilities of students returning to remote locations.

Students should review information at keeplearning.osu.edu/ and await directions from their faculty when classes resume March 23. Faculty should review resources at keepteaching.osu.edu/ and make use of ETS workshops. Everyone should act in accordance with the university-wide directives at osu.edu.

Thank you for your understanding and continued vigilance,

Michael Cadwell, FAIA
