Drawing from his experiences teaching studios, Landscape Architecture Assistant Professor of Practice Justin Parscher reviews two recent books—The Routledge Handbook of Teaching Landscape and Teaching Landscape: The Studio Experience. Parscher opines that despite the books' attempts to clarify the issues and approaches in landscape architecture education, there is still work to be done to ease the practice’s perennial identity crisis.
