Parker Sutton Publishes “Trending Green: Landscape in The Age of Digital Reproduction”

Assistant Professor of Practice in the Landscape Architecture Parker Sutton has published “Trending Green: Landscape in The Age of Digital Reproduction” in the Spring 2022 issue of Landscape Architecture Plus. Sutton’s article “considers ways in which plants, and landscapes more broadly, are (mis)represented in contemporary social media.”

Whatever the cause, the ease with which one can trace architectural styles and graphic design motifs back to popular social media accounts is greatly diminished in landscape architecture discourse. In other ways, social media culture has had a very real impact on the landscape, one that may not be design-focused but has other, major landscape architectural implications.
