The city and regional planning professor was recognized for his distinguished contributions to regional science research.

Zhenhua Chen Named 2022 Geoffrey J.D. Hewings Award Winner

Knowlton City and Regional Planning Professor Zhenhua Chen was recently named the 2022 Geoffrey J.D. Hewings award winner at the 69th annual North American meeting of the Regional Science Association International. The award recognizes distinguished contributions to regional science research by scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in the last ten years. Besides Chen, three other members of Ohio State’s faculty have received this award, including Harvey Miller (Geography, 1997), Elena Irwin (AEDE, 2008), and Alessandra Faggian (AEDE, 2015).
