Bryan C. Lee, Jr. Named a USA Fellow by United States Artists

Bryan C. Lee, Jr. (BSArch ’06) was awarded a 2023 USA Fellowship by United States Artists. Lee is one of 45 fellows named and just four Architecture & Design Fellows (including the recent Baumer Lecture Series speaker, Deanna Van Buren). Lee will receive an unrestricted cash award of $50,000. Lee is is the Design Principal of Colloqate Design and a national Design Justice Advocate and a member of the Knowlton Advisory Board.

USA Fellowships are annual $50,000 unrestricted awards recognizing the most compelling artists working and living in the United States, in all disciplines, at every stage of their career.

These artists are architects, choreographers, culture bearers, dancers, designers, filmmakers, musicians, sculptors, singers, storytellers, theater makers, and writers, as well as artists working across, between, and outside of those disciplines. They span every career stage, ranging in age from their 20s to their 90s.

Each year, individual artists and collaboratives are anonymously nominated to apply by a geographically diverse and rotating group of artists, scholars, critics, producers, curators, and other arts professionals. Applications are reviewed by discipline-specific panels who select the finalists, which are then approved by our Board of Trustees.
