“Thirteen Ways”
“Thirteen Ways” looks at multiple ways to approach a project/problem. There is never just one way, there at least thirteen. LEVENBETTS will share recent work from their office including several libraries, academic projects, installations, and houses.

 

 

David Leven, FAIA
Partner LEVENBETTS
David Leven is a principal at LEVENBETTS with his partner Stella Betts. He is currently an associate professor at Parsons School of Design. David has previously taught at Cornell University School of Art Architecture and Planning, City College and Syracuse. David received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University School of Architecture. David also studied at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York. The work of his office has received numerous awards and recognition including 13 AIA Design Awards, Architectural Record Design Vanguard (2007) and The Architectural League’s Emerging Voices (2009). Currently his firm is working on their fifth public library in New York City as well as a Life Sciences Building in Manhattan and several single family homes in upstate New York. David serves on the Board of Directors of the New York AIA Chapter.

Stella Betts
Partner LEVENBETTS
Stella Betts is a principal at LEVENBETTS with her partner David Leven. She is currently an adjunct professor at Yale University School of Architecture. Stella has previously taught at Columbia University’s GSAPP, Cornell University School of Art Architecture and Planning, Cooper Union, Parsons and Syracuse. Stella received a Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School for Design. The work of her office has received numerous awards and recognition including 13 AIA Design Awards, Architectural Record Design Vanguard (2007) and The Architectural League’s Emerging Voices (2009).
