The Knowlton School offers master's programs in architecture, landscape architecture, and city and regional planning as well as a doctoral program in City and Regional Planning.

Admission to Knowlton's graduate programs varies by program. See below for detailed amissions information for each program. Admission to all graduate programs requires an online application and supporting materials that allow our faculty to assess your potential to succeed in our programs.


Master of Architecture
The MArch program prepares students to engage in the practice of architecture with cultural awareness, critical ability, inventive curiosity, and technical facility.
Master of Landscape Architecture
The MLA program prepares students from any background to engage in landscape architecture as both a cultural and ecological practice. The program stresses the development of critical design thinking, inventive curiosity, and technical facility.
Master of City and Regional Planning
The MCRP program will prepare you for a leadership position through the integration of theory and practice. We teach you the methods and skills necessary to lead in the creation of sustainable and just cities and regions.
PhD in City and Regional Planning
Doctoral students join a select program with a productive and dynamic faculty and participate in collaborative studies. Our vibrant faculty conducts research in vanguard areas of planning and develop connections to work locally and internationally.
