The architecture alumna is one of the new leaders of the firm’s Chicago team.

Lauren Shelton Promoted at Valerio Dewalt Train

Lauren Shelton (BSArch ’05) was promoted to the position of Senior Associate at Valerio Dewalt Train, an architecture, interior design, and experiential design practice that works in Chicago, San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Denver. 

[Shelton] was a member of the management team for the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Student Housing South project; the Edison Apartment building in Denver; and the Leroy Neiman Student Center at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently part of the management team for the Shedd Aquarium renovation project in Chicago. The leader of the firm’s 2030 commitment involvement, Lauren is an integral member of in-house sustainability team, buildGREEN(or)die. She is also involved with AIA Chicago and serves on the Ohio State School of Architecture Career Services advisory board, in addition to serving as a mentor for the Ohio State and University of Michigan mentor networks.
