Autumn 2023 Baumer Lecture Series
The Knowlton School is pleased to announce the Autumn 2023 Baumer Lecture Series. For autumn 2023, the series returns to Knowlton Hall’s Gui Auditorium for eight in-person lectures on the theme of “Adapting to a Wicked World.”
Adapting to a Wicked World
How can design and planning respond to an uncertain world? In a time of crisis, conflict, and disaster looming in all corners of the planet, can design not just react to urgent problems but also reaffirm our commitment to a peaceful and just shared future? This semester, the Knowlton School invites scholars and practitioners from architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and allied fields to discuss dynamic design in an era of shifting foundations.
