How are you involved outside of being a Knowlton Ambassador?

I am a member of the Ohio State National Association of Minority Landscape Architects and the Ohio State Student Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects

What do you enjoy most about being a Knowlton student?

I enjoy the community within the university! Because we get our own desks at Knowlton, it is easy to get to know other people within your major and classes. Knowlton is a great community of design thinkers who are passionate about designing a better future!

What’s your advice for new Knowlton students?

Don't be afraid of the studio. The studio is a great way to learn design fundamentals and to create from your imagination! If you need help, there are many graduate and upperclassman students who are happy to help out with any programming or design questions.

Have you had an internship in your major area? How did you find that internship and what was your experience there like?

In my third year, I had a co-op with NBBJ! NBBJ is a local architecture firm that has an urban environments studio, COL99. The internship was a great experience as I could build my design portfolio and develop as a professional in my major. I got to experience what it’s like to work at a design firm and learned many new programs like Revit!

Do you have any final advice for prospective or newly admitted students?

Things in life may not always be permanent, some things are there temporarily for a reason. No matter where you are in your college years, you'll always find a home in the Knowlton community!
