Gala Korniyenko Appointed to ACSP’s Committee on Diversity

PhD Candidate Gala Korniyenko was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning's Committee on Diversity through 2025.

The Committee on Diversity is responsible for leading and implementing ACSP efforts related to diversity and inclusion, including advising the Governing Board and Association Leadership on diversity and inclusion in member programs, enhancing commitments to equity and inclusion research, and helping more effectively orient ACSP toward inclusive social and racial justice in association activities.

Korniyenko’s research focuses on the connections between planning and disability in order to move planning, education, and practice toward a more inclusive and neurodiverse environment. She previously served on the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning Review and Appraisal Committee and is involved actively in governance, advocacy, and community-building in the wider Ohio State community.
