Gala Korniyenko Joins Panel on Planning in Ukraine

City and Regional Planning Lecturer and PhD alumna Gala Korniyenko (PhD ’23) will be a panelist on “Planning Challenges in Ukraine” as part of the American Planning Association’s World Town Planning Day 2023 on November 8.

This year’s World Town Planning Day theme is “Learn Globally, Apply Locally” and focuses on the value of learning from planning and planning cultures globally. Korniyenko will discuss four planning organizations from Ukraine or whose work focuses on Ukraine and who are involved in reconstruction plans on the urban and regional scale. Korniyenko is active in the Ukrainian Rebuilding Action Group, part of the APA’s International Division effort to help Ukraine

World Town Planning Day 2023 is a virtual global conference. This event is AICP CM-approved.
